As the super-platform for non-professional soccer in Europe, we bring pro-level experiences (news, data, gamification) to the mega-community of +190 million footballers and soccer fans.

We are a startup founded in 2021 in Cologne, Germany - our team consists of 35+ smart and "hungry" members working on Prematch in our offices in Cologne and Berlin (Marketing & Business Team) or remotely across Europe (Tech & Product Team).

We are supported by partners like adidas, Krombacher, Flaschenpost and Scalable Capital, but there are still some bangers in the pipeline that you can be excited about! Furthermore, we are supported by successful investors like Ralf Reichert, the CEO of ESL or the entrepreneur Verena Pausder.

Main information

Remote option: you decide - 100% remote (Germany or EU-wide), or one of our top offices in Cologne/Berlin, or a combination of both
Start: Immediately (flexible start)
Scope: 40 hours (full time)
Areas of Responsibility: Backend
Current Tech Stack that we use: Python + FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Grafana, AWS, Pulumi, GitLab CI

You add new features in our backend (REST API) and other services to delight our users.
You have a “You build it, you run it” attitude and also want to collectively maintain our infrastructure with the others on the team.

Your mission

You ensure the stability, scalability, and security of our services and infrastructure to grow Prematch to become the biggest football platform in the world.
You keep our architecture clean to keep us moving at a rapid pace.
You support in maintaining and monitoring our cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi and monitoring tools like Grafana.

What do you need

3+ years of experience in development with Python and REST APIs
Experience in development with Python and REST APIs
Experience with IaC tools like Pulumi doing GitOps
Experience with cloud native software like Kubernetes and Grafana
Very good knowledge of English

Advantage but not a must

Experience with the tools in our Tech Stack
