Founders Associate - Teamwear Expansion (All Genders)

Köln
Full-time
Permanent employee

Hey!

Imagine amateur football finally had the platform it deserves.
Every weekend, millions of people write their own personal football stories – on pitches, in clubs and on the sidelines. We believe this passion deserves a digital home too.
That's exactly what we're building every single day.

tl;dr

We're looking for someone who wants to conquer new markets with us - you'll take Teamwear into new countries side by side with the founders and build the playbook for every market that follows.

Main information

  • Start: Immediately
  • Location: Cologne
  • Workload: Full-time
  • Team: Teamwear

Is this a match?

The most important basics – so we both know if it could work.
  • Location: You can see yourself in our Cologne office (Belgisches Viertel) and are able to come in at least 3 days a week.
  • Where you're at: You've finished your degree, gathered first hands-on experience and are ready for your next step.
  • Languages are no problem: You speak German and English fluently.
  • You know football: Amateur football isn't new to you - you've played, coached or been active in a club, or you're a fan with a real feel for what happens on and off the pitch.
  • Startup spirit: You'd rather shape things than just tick boxes - even when that means figuring stuff out without a finished roadmap.

What you'll do - your playing field

This is how you move our mission forward every day.
  • You get to know new markets in record time. Amateur football structures, clubs, retailers, competitors - you quickly figure out how a market works.
  • You test market entry hands-on. You talk to clubs, retailers and partners and try out right away how our offers land.
  • You turn findings into clear plans. You bring what you learn to the founders as recommendations and market entry plans.
  • You get the first expansion project rolling. You drive it operationally and clear blockers out of the way as they come up.
  • You write our expansion playbook. So that every next market goes even faster.
In addition to your core responsibilities, you will also:
  • Take on ad-hoc projects for the Head of Teamwear and the founders
  • Prepare partner presentations and offers for new markets
  • Work with our Data & Insights team on market data

What you bring to the team

We're not looking for a perfect CV. But you should recognise yourself in these points.
  • Doer without a playbook: You've pushed a project through without a manual before - in a start-up, your own project, a club or a student initiative.
  • Business sense: You can size a market and build a simple business case.
  • Quick learner: You get into new topics fast and turn them into structured findings.
  • Drive: You get things moving without being asked - and see them through.
  • Tools: Google Sheets / Excel (market models, business cases), Google Slides / PowerPoint, Notion or similar, AI tools for research and daily work
Good to know
We want you to know what this role really looks like from day one.
  • Here you build markets hands-on instead of drafting strategies at a desk: you call clubs, travel and figure things out yourself. If that excites you, you're in the right place.
  • There's no finished playbook yet and priorities can shift fast - you should enjoy stepping into the unknown.

Bonus

Not a must – but this'll definitely earn you extra points.
  • Further languages (e.g. French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch) - just mention them in your application
  • 1-3 years of experience in a start-up, consulting or business development
  • Time abroad or international work experience
  • Experience in sporting goods or teamwear

The Prematch Setup

We want you to love joining us - and still love being part of the team a long time from now.
  • Employee participation (VSOP) - directly benefit from the company’s success.
  • Modern tech setup - We provide the tools and devices you need to be productive.
  • AI-powered work - We use AI tools to work smarter and more efficiently, and provide you with the tools you need to make the most of AI in your day-to-day work.
  • 27 vacation days per year - For your rest and to recharge. Plus special arrangements if you’re a parent, so you can better balance family and relaxation.
  • Remote work - depending on your distance to the office, you work 1–3 days a week onsite and the rest flexibly remote - whatever suits you best. Tech & Product roles sometimes offer 100% remote.
  • Three cool offices in Cologne, Berlin, and London - true startup vibes to work and grow together. Want to visit another office? We support that too!
  • Remote, even from afar - Whether it’s a week of sunshine abroad or a few days with family - we allow flexible work from outside your usual location.
  • Team events at our locations - Whether after work in Cologne, Berlin, or London: we regularly bring teams together to connect and grow stronger.
  • Offsites with the whole team - Four days out of the daily grind with the entire team: trips, brainstorming, onsite collaboration, and real team spirit.

Still here? Sounds like a pretty good match.

If you've made it this far, we hope we've managed to show you one thing: how we work, what we believe in and why this role at PREMATCH is something special.
Maybe this is exactly the moment you've been waiting for: a team that thinks big, a vision that actually moves things and the chance to help reshape amateur football digitally – together with us.

Now it's your turn.
  • Hit Apply now and upload your CV - that’s all we need to get started.
  • Tell us a bit more about yourself in our short application form - and you’re in the game!
